So since all I do these days is apply for jobs and pray that something good happens, I decided to put my unemployment rant on hold and deal with a more pressing concept.
So, I have been realizing that when it rains, it pours. Example, of course I total my car when I don't have a job to buy another, and can't find people to live in my apt, so I have to pay for 2 months of rent...life isn't always peachy. When I woke up that morning, I didn't know I was going to get in a serious car accident and be lucky to walk away. This got me thinking, in the way that you have no idea when the worst day of your life is happening, you might not know when the best day of your life is happening.
If this is all true, we need to appreciate everyday that we live. You never know when you will wake up and it will be the best day of your life or the worst day of your life. Try to find something to be excited about in everyday, and before you complain, try to think about how even if it is the worst day of your life, the best day is on the horizon...

You're the oldest you've ever been, and the youngest you'll ever be.
So it's one of those days, you hit dismiss on your alarm, you get toothpaste on your shirt as you realize that you are wearing blue pumps with your black skirt. Additionally on the way out the driveway you realize that you only have enough gas to get halfway to work. To make matters worse, it's a monday. sweet. The week is going to be great. What should you do to make this week better? Firstly, you need to thank God that you woke up that morning, you could have completely slept through the morning and been fired.
Sometimes we think that life couldn't possibly get any worse. We spend so much time dwelling on the current problem instead of how you will get out of it. Our problem is, we get so caught up in the depths of the forest, focusing on one tree and we forget that there is an entire forest out there. In life there is rarely a time when there are only 2 options. There is always something out there that will be the right answer and once you find it, you will feel silly for only thinking that there were a limited number of options.
What should you do? Get your thinking cap on, yes that one from 2nd grade, and come up with a plan. You need a plan to make it from day to day. With that said, no matter how good of a plan you have, it will only get you so far, your plan MUST absolutely MUST allow for flexibility.
Just remember this, once you realize that life could get worse, and indeed it would be possible for you to see another day, life will just look better.
When the day is looking bleak and there appears to be no ups, remember this, you're the oldest you've you've ever been, and the youngest you'll ever be. carpe diem!
